Medicine
Our team see a range of internal, diagnostic and complex medical cases, and can provide 24/7 monitoring for hospitalised pets.We have qualified veterinary nurses onsite 24 hours a day, along with round-the-clock veterinary surgeon cover.Veterinary medicine is the branch of veterinary care that deals with the prevention, management, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder, and injury in non-human animals – a fancy way of saying this is the investigation side of veterinary medicine!
Our veterinary team is made up of a mix of experienced vets and new graduates, including our certificate holder in veterinary medicine, Ian Cox.
We also have Jo Honeycomb working on her cardiology certificate including advanced ultrasonography technique and Andy Barcis working on his ophthalmology certificate.
We have a range of different sized accommodations for your pets during their stay and each one is adapted to suit your pet – none of our accommodations allow other pets to stare at each other, to help reduce stress and we use pheromone diffusers, as needed.
We can carry out a range of testing for unusual cases, such as bone marrow biopsies, CT myelography and thoracic drainage, along with treating more common diseases like feline lower urinary tract disease and metabolic diseases such as diabetes, Cushing’s disease and thyroid disorders.
Our medical diagnostics include HALTER monitoring for heart cases, Libre sensors for our diabetic patients, along with full diagnostic imaging equipment of digital x-ray, ultrasound and CT scanning, and a range of in-house laboratory diagnostics including a wide range of blood tests and microscopy diagnostics.
