At New Era Veterinary Hospital we want to make preventative health care easy and affordable, to help you give your horse the best care possible. We believe that prevention is better than cure, rather than waiting until a horse is ill and suffering to put things right. Early diagnosis of health problems will help your horse to live a long and healthy life.
Our Equine Health Plan is not pet insurance. It covers the essential treatments your horse needs throughout life, such as vaccinations, egg counts and regular health checks. Equine Health Plan - £19.00 per month
Our Equine Health plan
Our practice membership scheme has been set up to enable you to spread the cost of routine preventative health care. This allows us to provide you with the support you need to keep your horse fit and healthy year after year.
It allows us to administer the appropriate vaccines, monitor and/or treat worms and rasp teeth at the correct time with minimal financial impact to you, the owner.
In addition, a thorough clinical examination allows us to carefully assess the general health of your horse and offer advice, support and treatment planning, which in many cases can prevent problems arising in the future.
Please note: If you cancel at any time other than the anniversary of joining the plan, you will be required to pay the practice either the outstanding amount for treatment received, or the monthly payments due until the anniversary of your plan, whichever is lower.

- Annual vaccination & General Health Check
- Dewormer (Winter)
- Faecal egg count (in house) x 2
- Dental exam including rasping (and sedation when required)
- 10% off selected long term medication**
- 10% off visit fees
- 20% off general lameness exam
- 15% off additional yearly dental exam
- 10% off extra dewormer as recommended by your vet
- 10% off 6 monthly health check
- 10% off additional 6 monthly booster vaccinations ***
Visit charges are not included. If a client misses a vaccine they will be required to pay the difference in cost from routine vaccine a restart.
