Job Description: Registered VN Day nurse
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in our hospitals operations. Your responsibilities will include:
– Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries.
– Administering medications and treatments.
– Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients.
– Conducting laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
– Providing exceptional nursing care to our patients.
– Educating clients on pet care and medications.
– Maintaining accurate records and patient files.
Our rota nurses work an average of 38 hr week across a 10 week rota with varying shifts including wards, lab and surgery.
The rota consists of 1 Saturday morning in 10, 1 full weekend in 10 followed by a 5 day weekend, 1 Saturday night in 10 (plus covering night nurse holiday)
Varying shift patterns from 7am-4pm through to 3.30 pm until 9.30pm
**Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you should have:
– Current registration with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Compassion and a genuine love for animals.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
– Willingness to work both day and night shifts (rotating schedule).

– Administering medications and treatments.
– Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients.
– Conducting laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
– Providing exceptional nursing care to our patients.
– Maintaining accurate records and patient files.
This role will involve working alongside our dedicated night vets working 4 nights per week for 2 weeks then 4 weeks off
