All of us at the New Era Veterinary Hospital, Archway Veterinary Centre and Leodis Veterinary Surgery are delighted to announce that we have joined the Vet Partners Group.
Vet Partners consists of 128 of the UK’s most respected and trusted small animal, mixed, farm and equine practices, with 5,250 employees working across more than 450 sites and from its headquarters in York.
As the only veterinary hospital in the Channel Islands, it is important for us to be able to continue to improve our facilities and equipment. Having the resources of VetPartners behind us will greatly facilitate this as further investment will be available as a benefit of being part of a larger group.
Partners John Hamilton, Peter Haworth, Ian Cox, Amanda Smith and Nick Thomas plan to remain at the practice following the acquisition.
Mr Hamilton said: “We have made this move to allow us to continue to provide or improve the level of service that we always have but to enable us to access the resources of a larger group. While this support will allow us to grow and develop, we would like to stress that the daily care of our clients and patients will still be our primary concern and focus.
The current partners will still be running the practice, clients will still be seeing the same vets and nurses and it will still be the same familiar voices at the end of the phone. Nothing will change in the day-to-day running of New Era, Archway and Leodis.
This agreement gives us the opportunity to invest further in the practice in the future to expand the services we can offer and to be able to access top quality further education for all our team members.
New Era’s main veterinary hospital is in St Saviour and it also has Leodis Veterinary Surgery in St Brelade and Archway Veterinary Centre in St Helier.
The practice employs 16 full-time and five part-time vets, 18 qualified RVNs, 10 reception team members and 13 management and admin team members.
