About us
New Era have looked after the island’s animals for over eighty years and during that time the Practice has grown significantly. There are now eighteen vets providing a high level of expertise that covers every common pet (and many unusual ones!), horses and farm animals. They are supported by a team of highly qualified nurses, reception and administration staff.
We are very proud of being the only practice in the Channel Islands, with the facilities and standards that qualify us to be a Veterinary Hospital, and in a recent review we were accredited as a Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital, which is the highest standard that can be achieved in general practice.
One of the most important attributes of being a Veterinary Hospital is that we have dedicated night staff providing “round the clock” nursing and a 24 hour emergency service, meaning that our clients can be assured that their animals have access to veterinary care whenever they might need it, day and night, 365 days of the year.
We are also registered as a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic with ISFM, the International Society of Feline Medicine. Our practice Cat Advocates are vets Suzy and Amanda and nurses Kerry and Olivia at the New Era hospital; at Leodis it’s nurse Tizane.
Consultations are by appointment and are available throughout the day; home visits can also be arranged.
